A safe, accessible, and indoor multipurpose space is imperative for all students
St Kilda Primary School has been a thriving part of our Prahran community for 150 years.
The school It is in drastic need of an indoor community hub for school and community use.
When the previous sports hall was demolished, there was an understanding that a there would be a replacement built.
Unfortunately however, the Victorian State Government has not allocated funds to build it.
This means the school currently has nowhere for indoor PE, assemblies, graduations, performances, or extracurricular activities.
With majority of students living in apartments or townhouses, a limited amount of open space in the local area an shortage of indoor basketball & netball courts, a community hub would provide much needed recreation facilities for residents.
The school community has started a petition, to call on Victorian State Government to fund an indoor community hub for the benefit of students and our wider community.
